Setramidopropyl Diethylamine is a cationic conditioning agent widely used in hair care formulations, especially conditioners, masks, and shampoos.
It provides excellent detangling, softness, anti-frizz, and conditioning performance, particularly on damaged, dry, and chemically treated hair.
In formulations, it is typically neutralized with an acid (e.g., citric or lactic acid) to form an effective conditioning salt, delivering smoothness and improved combability.

Usage Guideline:
Dosage: 0.5–3%
Phase: Oil phase or hot water phase
Processing:
Melt and disperse under heating (≈70°C)
Neutralize with citric acid / lactic acid to pH 4.0–5.5
pH Range (Final Product): 4.0 – 5.5
Compatibility: Fatty alcohols (Cetyl, Cetearyl), surfactants, silicones, proteins, botanical extracts
